Gerson Santos was elected as Associate Secretary of the General Conference in July 2015. He serves as liaison officer to the Inter-American Division, the North American Division, and the South American Division, His major responsibilities include oversight of the Seventh-day Adventist Church Manual, and Disciple-Making and Reclaiming.
Santos holds a BA in Theology from the Adventist College of Theology in Brazil, a Master of Theological Studies from the Latin American Adventist Seminary in Brazil, and a Doctor of Ministry from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. He is also pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in Church Planting from Fuller Theological Seminary. He served in Brazil and the United States, prior to coming to the General Conference.
